Silicon Carbide is a sparkling, rainbow mass of delicate crystals. It is incredibly beautiful to look at, and was first created by accident when scientists were trying to synthesize diamonds in 1891. It is an incredibly hard crystal, and will scratch everything except diamond, making it an excellent abrasive for cutting and polishing.
