May Birthstone Jewellery

May is another month with an expensive birthstone - Emerald. However, much of the Emerald that is available in jewellery today is synthetic or lab grown (which is often buried in the small print), as Emerald crystals are typically very heavily included. For this reason, Chrome Diopside is an excellent alternative, with a deep green colour and a good sparkle. Agate is also another alternative birthstone for May. Not looking for jewellery?
