Chrysoprase
Chrysoprase is a gem variety of Chalcedony that is a bright green colour, which is caused by trace Nickel. Darker shades are also known simply as 'Prase', and are a popular jewellery gem. It has a very distinctive, almost glowing colour, and the Greeks associated it with their Goddess of Love, Aphrodite as her sacred colour was green. This crystal gets its name from a Greek word which translates to 'golden apple' or 'golden leek'.
Chrysoprase connects with the Heart Chakra, helping to achieve deep meditation. It balances male and female energies, and aids you in focusing on the positive. One of its key properties is assisting in coping with change, which can be a challenging process for many people. By bringing balance and harmony to the heart and mind, Chrysoprase helps individuals move through transitions with greater ease and grace. Its soothing energy can also help release anxiety and promote a sense of calm, which can be particularly beneficial during times of stress or uncertainty.
