Description

This is a piece of a Triceratops (T.horridus) tooth, from Montana, USA. Triceratops were herbivores, so didn't have the huge spiked teeth of the large carnivores. They instead had rows of smaller teeth designed more to grid their food, like our molars. You will receive the exact Triceratops tooth fragment in the photos.

Triceratops, a common favourite amongst dinosaur enthusiasts young and old, was a huge dinosaur that roamed the Earth during the late Cretaceous, around 67 million years ago. It's name means "Three-Horned-Head" which is the image we all probably have in our head with we hear the name. These were heavy creatures too, likely weighing in at around 8 tons!
