Description

This Triceratops Tooth from the Hell Creek Formation, Garfield County, Montana is approximately 66 million years old. Triceratops were herbivores, so didn't have the huge spiked teeth of the large carnivores. They instead had rows of smaller teeth designed more to grid their food, like our molars. You will receive the exact Triceratops Tooth pictured.

The Triceratops is probably one of the most well known Dinosaurs, it manages to be both terifying, and yet cute at the same time, and is a common favourite amongst dinosaur enthusiasts young and old! It was a huge dinosaur that roamed the Earth during the late Cretaceous, around 66 million years ago, and could grow to be around twice the size of and Affrican Elephant. It's name means "Three-Horned-Head" which is the image we all probably have in our head with we hear the name. These were heavy creatures too, likely weighing in at around 8 tons!
