Super 7

Super 7 is a trade name given to a Quartz variety which should also contain Amethyst, Smoky Quartz, Clear Quartz, Rutilated Quartz, Goethite, Lepidocrocite and Cacoxenite. However most Cacoxenite inclusions in Quartz from Brazil have been proven to be Goethite or Hematite, so without proper testing it is very difficult to gauge whether these 7 minerals are all present in one crystal. Many times poor quality Amethyst is sold under the trade name Super 7 for an inflated price.
