This is a gorgeous natural specimen of Rhodochrosite with Pyrite from the unusual location of Wutong (also called Wudong) Mine in Guangxi, China. Some of these specimens also feature Fluorite and Galena. You will receive the exact Rhodochrosite crystal pictured.
Rhodochrosite is a very attractive pink-red colour, with collectible specimens being rare, and large crystals of the mineral even more so. Rhodochrosite is the national gemstone of Argentina, and it is also the state gemstone of Colorado. The ancient Inca civilisation called it the Inca Rose and believed that Rhodochrosite was the blood of their former kings and queens turned to stone!
