We use box suppliers who create our boxes out of recycled and sustainable materials, our padded envelopes are from a Climate Neutral company who use FSC certified sources, and our bubble wrap is recyclable.

Beautiful hand selected Star Garnet polished crystals, that shows a 4 rayed asterism (and occasionally 6 rayed!) under bright direct light. You will receive one crystal, each one is approx 15-20mm.
Garnets have been prized by civilisations throughout history. Garnet was said to be one of the four stones given to King Solomon by God to rule over creation, and Noah was said to have illuminated the Ark with a finely cut glowing garnet. It’s name comes from Latin, and translates to “seedlike”, with reference to pomegranate seeds. In old Spanish astrology, the garnet symbolized the sun, whilst in Christian tradition the garnet symbolises the blood of Christ. Garnets actually come in many colours, not just red. Red Almandine garnets are the most common, whilst other varieties come in shades of green, purple and pink.

Wow. Just Wow. As if the beautifully deep scarlet of this garnet isn't enough on it's own, it has a beautiful asterism when the light hits it. Stunning!
In the photos they look purpleish-black. The one I got is still dark purplish red, but significantly more pinkish-silver than in the photo. The cracks are less prominent than in the photo. The star is more like lines of sheen moving over the surface that form an X. What I'm impressed by is that the optical effect that creates these sheen lines completely surrounds the stone so that they can be seen no matter how the stone is turned!
Had always wanted to get one of these with an asterism, had originally see them in a necklace and always regretted not buying it, but love these tumbles.
