New Chiastolite tumbled stones, each one has been hand selected to show the characteristic cross. You will receive one Chiastolite crystal, each one is approx 12 - 15mm across.
A rare variety of Andalusite which forms with a black cross consisting of carbon and black graphite, best shown off when the specimen is sliced across. Although Chiastolite is made primarily of Andalusite, this form was actually recorded first in 1754, over 40 years before Andalusite was officially recorded.

Interested to find a crystal containing a natural cross. I purchased four; one for myself and the others to gift. The two flatter stones have a clear cross, back and front. Of the rounder tumbles one has a clear cross to one side and the other has a rather distorted cross. Neverthless a lovely gift whether or not you like the symbolism.
It’s hard to find tumbled chiastolite, especially ones that have the signature black crosses in them so these are a great find, especially at such a fair price!
