Diamonds are the most famous gemstones in the world, with the most divisive history. So much bloodshed has surrounded their story that they are the only gemstone to have their own certification scheme to try and restrict the flow of conflict Diamonds, known as the Kimberley Process. De Beers made Diamonds famous as the engagement stone of choice with their marketing slogan 'A Diamond is Forever'. Although pure white is the most sought after, Diamonds can actually be found in a whole rainbow of colours, and 'Fancy' Diamonds, as these are now being called, are gaining in popularity.
