Gobi Agate is a type of botryoidal Chalcedony. It's a semi-precious silica mineral that has a frosted outer texture. It can be opaque or translucent and often comes in muted pastel colours. Gobi Agates get their shape through weathering, smoothing and rounding by desert winds and sands.
