This beautiful unpolished Chocolate Opal is from Ethiopia and has a beautifully flashy centre surrounded by matrix. You will receive the exact Opal crystal pictured, please note these are extremely difficult to capture on camera, they are much prettier in real life! The video is taken in direct sunlight.
Ethiopian Chocolate Opals, also known as Ethiopian Shewa Opal or Mezozo Opals, are a type of precious Opal prized for their unusual deep, rich red - brown colour with a play of colour that spans the whole spectrum, from reds and yellows, through to greens and blues. They are found in the Shewa region of Ethiopia, and form in small nodules.
