Goldstone

Goldstone is a man-made glass that contains flecks of Copper, and was invented in Venice by accident in the 17th Century by the Miotti family, although there are records of earlier examples of Goldstone type material in Persia. It is most commonly seen in a brown/red colour, although it can also be found in blue and green varieties. It is sometimes incorrectly labelled as Sunstone, which is a natural gemstone.
