Description

Rare Cervical Vertebra from a Spinosaur Dinosaur (Spinosaurus sp. indet.) from the Kem Kem Beds, Morocco. The neural arch has been broken off, likely due to geological movements during the approximately 95 million years it has sat buried in rock waiting to be unearthed for your collection. You will receive the exact fossil as pictured.

Spinosaurus was a monstrous dinosaur with a spiny crest upon its back, and it's from this that it gets its name, which means "Spine-Lizard". It was predominantly a fish eater, and lived in what would have been marshy muddy tidal flats, and mangrove forests. It grew to over 40 feet, making it one of the largest carnivorous dinosaurs known to date.
