Honduran Opal

Honduran Opal was formed during volcanic eruptions in the country of Honduras in Central America, between Nicaragua and Guatemala. They are the oldest opal mines in the world, and a lot of Honduran farmers actually subsidise their income by mining opal. Honduran Opal is similar to the Andamooka Opal in its appearance and composition in that it is opal within a matrix, in this case volcanic black basalt. These opals are often coated in resin or similar to seal the stone and stop it absorbing anything else, and to show off the colour.

Honduran Black Opal encompasses spiritual transformation and emotional healing, and it holds a deep connection to the element of water, representing emotional flow and purification. It assists in releasing past traumas and emotional blockages, promoting inner healing and facilitating a sense of renewal. Honduran Black Opal enhances intuition and psychic abilities, opening the door to deeper spiritual insights and guidance. It brings forth a sense of protection and grounding, providing a stable foundation for spiritual exploration. This crystal stimulates creativity and enhances communication, allowing for authentic self-expression and the manifestation of your creative endeavours. Honduran Black Opal serves as a powerful catalyst for personal growth and spiritual transformation, bringing light to the shadows and supporting individuals on their journey towards wholeness and authenticity.
