Aventurine is a form of Quartz that has inclusions of mica or other crystals to give it a shimmering or glittery appearance. Green Aventurine contains Fuchsite, the colouring in Red Aventurine is thought to come from Hematite, whilst Blue Aventurine gets its colour from inclusions of Dumortierite.

Each different colour of Aventurine offers its own unique metaphysical properties.
