Turritella Agate

Turritella Agate is actually a fossil from Wyoming, made up of fossilised freshwater snails called Elimia tenera from around 50 million years ago. When it was originally discovered it was thought to be made from the marine snail family Turritella, but the name had stuck before the mistake was realised.
