Sodalite

Sodalite is usually seen as a deep blue crystal that is often confused with Lapis Lazuli, however Lapis contains pyrite whilst Sodalite does not. It was technically discovered in 1806 in Greenland, but ancient civilisations such as the Peruvians traded Sodalite as far back as 2600 BC. It gets its name from the sodium-rich magmas from which it crystallized. Although blue is the most common colour, Sodalite can also be found in shades of pink, yellow or green, and transparent crystals can be found.

Sodalite enhances wisdom and insight, allowing individuals to gain deeper understanding and clarity in their thoughts and actions. Sodalite is also believed to help improve listening and speaking skills, promoting effective communication and organisation. It encourages the expression of feelings, helping individuals communicate their emotions more effectively and fostering harmonious relationships. This crystal also stimulates fresh ideas, perceptions, and creative expression, unlocking the flow of inspiration and encouraging innovative thinking. It is a valuable ally for those struggling with oversensitivity, confusion, inadequacy, and fear, providing support and helping to overcome these emotional challenges.
